Silica Glass is a generic term used to describe both fused quartz (made by melting natural quartz crystals) and silica glass (created through a chemical process).
Both forms provide an exceptional range of properties including:
- Very low expansion coefficient
- Broad transparency range from deep ultraviolet to near infrared
- High corrosion resistance
- High temperature capability
